I’ve had the honor of getting to know Randy Wolfe over the last couple years.

An old mountain man living in the hollers of Kentucky. A metalsmith with a forge, a hammer, and that true grit kind of wisdom you don’t learn in books. The kind of man who lived outside the normal world of perception and somehow saw things clearer than most.

Some would call him hillbilly rich.

The man uses a $500 custom glass bead as a roach clip, but yet lives in a one room cabin, if that tells you anything.

Wolfe doesn’t have social media, but I send him pictures of my artwork. We trade thoughts. We trade wisdom. Iron sharpens iron.

Right now, Mr. Wolfe is in his final days of transition. He’s dying.

He loves EyeJelly artwork. Enough that he asked for my last anchor shirt in a 5XL so he could wear it like a shroud when he passes.

That one hit me deep.

Randy Wolfe is a Navy Vietnam veteran. For a man like that to want my artwork with him when he crosses over — that is not just support. That is an honor I don’t even fully know how to hold.

So this design is for him as well.

Jelly Gnome is my buddy, Mr. Randy Wolfe, in EyeJelly form. A little wild. A little wise. A little outside the world. Sitting there with color in his beard, smoke in the air, and a lifetime behind his eyes.

I’ll keep a candle lit for you, my friend.
