Most of the designs you see on EyeJelly shirts today began as drawings Jason Ewing made while he was in prison.

There was no computer, website, studio, or professional equipment—only paper, pencils, time, and an imagination that refused to be locked up.

Jason knew he wanted to build something of his own when he got out, but he did not know what to call it. On the backs of those original drawings are nearly 500 different business-name ideas—written down, crossed out, rearranged, and reconsidered while he searched for something that truly felt like his.

Then he wrote EYEJELLY.

The name immediately felt right: strange, original, and impossible to confuse with anything else. Once the name existed, the world around it began to take shape—the eye, the characters, the colors, and the vision of turning original artwork into something people could wear, ride, display, and collect.

The artwork on this ringer tee comes from that earliest chapter of EyeJelly Streetwear. It represents the moment an idea became a vision. At a time when Jason’s physical world was extremely small, his imagination gave him somewhere else to go.

Years later, he continues rebuilding those original hand-drawn ideas into shirts, hoodies, hats, skateboards, and collectible pieces. The tools have changed. The artwork has evolved. The imagination and the hand behind it are still his.

EyeJelly Streetwear did not begin in a design studio or corporate office. It began with a pencil, a piece of paper, and a man sitting in a prison cell who still believed his life could become something more.

At 52, Jason is rebuilding his life one day and one design at a time. JELLY STREET™ is proof that where something begins does not have to determine where it ends.
